Carve me out until I reflect the design You have in mind
You are the Potter, and I am the clay
So I say no to my will and yes to Your way
I admit that removing chunks of my lump will hurt
All the straightening, curving, bending, gouging and flattening
Will alter my shape significantly
The quick deep cuts may produce a sharp squeal
But I am assured that my beauty, in the end, will compensate
So carve me
Put me on Your sculpting board and carve me
Carve me until a reflection of You is all I see in me
